JAVA J2EE / Enterprise Developers (Mid – Senior-level Positions)

Located in San Diego, CA

Salary: $85K – $120K

Our client is a premium provider of end-to-end video delivery technology and services. The company’s cloud-based solution, helps media / entertainment, network operator and non-media enterprise clients to produce, manage and deliver multi-screen social video experiences to audiences wherever they are. They service more than 2,200 clients in over 50 countries, including some of the world’s biggest brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Will support technical leads and architects in the development (coding) of world class enterprise applications for our customers in the media and entertainment space
  • Develop custom software for digital media clients
  • Work independently at the direction of senior team members in a development team environment
  • Write quality code for deployment of on-time and on schedule projects
  • Work as a team to ensure client’s end product meets quality standards for enterprise software

Requirements:

  • 4 to 15 years experience with Java/J2EE development (8+ for senior developer)
  • Solid experience developing enterprise applications with Java, J2EE
  • (REQUIRED) – Ability to demonstrate experience with Spring and Hibernate Frameworks (Struts is a plus, but not required)
  • Solid understanding of software development for media or content management/distribution is a huge plus
  • Experience working with technologies such as JBOSS, Apache, Websphere and Weblogic
  • Experience with Maven, Subversion, Continuous Integration Server (any) and RESTful web services and pluses
  • Full lifecycle development experience, not just maintenance and support background
  • If not highly experienced in years, must be highly technical and hands-on
  • Passionate about technology with desire to continue to develop professionally
  • Good understanding of software development processes and methodologies
  • Be committed to design, build and deployment excellence
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate with customers
  • Ability and desire to work with a team and have fun doing it
  • Bachelor degree required, preferably in a technical discipline
